What do you guys think of Alan Watt of www.cuttingthroughthematrix.com? I've been listening to his shows for a while now and I like a lot of his work, I think he's correct on a lot of things. He doesn't usually give sources for information, so that makes me somewhat skeptical. Although I can usually verify the things he says that I try to verify. Just wanted to see what other people think.
If you like Alan Watt, you'd probably be into Glen Kealey.
Andre of OutlawJournalism.com has recently published an article showing that radio talk show host Alan Watt plagiarized entire pages of his Cutting Through book series from Canadian activist Glen Kealey.

The piece begins with a side-by-side image comparison of the cover of the Aug. through Nov. 1998 edition of the "Kealey Paper", a publication by Mr. Kealey, and page 46 of one of Alan's books. Both feature a large graphic of five Communion-type alien creatures with the text, "Cave dwelling TROGLODYTES are INTERTERRESTRIAL". Such a doubling of information was not likely to have occurred by chance but is not limited to just one graphic; it includes other word-for-word chunks of content as well as major themes.
The article, accompanied by audio clips, includes a response from Mr. Kealey, who stated:
"Alan Watt called me for weeks on end to pick my brain. Alan Watt bought a newspaper subscription, read it, and copied material from it. He never, I'm told, gave me any credit for having been the originator of all the ideas."

Interestingly, within twenty-four hours hours of the topic was broached on several "conspiracy" fora favorable to Watt, Kealey's web site was hacked, all content deleted and Alan Watt's home page index posted instead.

Yeah, I know all about that. Some guy took pictures from Kealys old papers and showed that Watt used the pictures in his books. That's about it, he used the pictures to make a point. It's a weak argument. My concern is whether or not the information being put out by Watt is true. As far as I can tell it is.

Someone's upped Alan's books to archive.org - and posted the author as Glen Kealey. I can only Laugh Out Loud. I have no quarms about accessing this information for free now it really does seem quite likely that he released it using another man's research, or in covert collaboration with someone to share the profits with, who knows.
I have just finished downloading it and it does appear to be Alan Watt's "Cutting Through" series 1 to 3, 224 pages in total.
I find it interesting that people who seem to have a problem with there even being a possibility that Alan is a rollercoaster operator, on this and other forums like Andre's, invariably reacts emotionally without actually engaging in discourse but simply striking out. Very telling perhaps. I won't make judgements on people I can't see and will never meet, nor will I give any advice but it's a shame. It's already clear for the 'discerning mind' that Alan's an actor who is very skilled in techniques of persuasion. I will quickly digress here to say I actually met a scotsman, just a few years my senior (I'm 30) though he looked a little older (a rough life in Glasgow will do that). He has been a lifelong socialist though his father and grandfather were members of the fraternity of Free Masons (probably fairly profane ones, most of them are of course). His discourse was very similar to Alan's I have to say - probably due to being a socialist and being from Scotland, but I thought I'd mention it as now I reflect, I find it interesting to meet someone else who, if they had the inclination, could do exactly what he's doing. Just hearing someone with a similar voice speaking about similar stuff make me think laterally.
Having stopped listening to Alan last November independently of reading anything about his show and after churning through a few hundred of the podcasts, I have to say I indeed empathise with the aforementioned paragraph opening this thread:

What can it all mean. Just when you think you've begun to see things clearly, you enter the fog again. Ah well, we've lost nothing - and there are certainly some very interesting things I've learned from Alan about history and culture which I shall surely look into some more and perhaps would have taken longer for me to gain insight into - so for what it's worth Alan, whoever you are, thanks mate and I'm not assuming you are a bad person but if you indeed are misleading 'your' people, your specific audience like the one David Icke has and enacting a hypnotic snare not dissimilar to the one which you claim to DISSENT against - then SHAME on you. Whatever the reason, and I am willing to entertain that it may not be for the money... Shame on you and may your franchise crash and burn around you. But I don't wish you destruction - you sound despondent enough as it is because if you know anything of the powers of intent, you will understand what those messages are doing to you unless of course you use self-hypnosis to counter it before going to bed at night : )
I'm not about to give up though I have to say, all these people Kealey included look like very clever actors or lunatics. However there is an inescapable inevitability to the current (and past, as we re-learn our histories) states of humanity. This being the case though, and as the plot increasingly thickens for the minority who want to dig through the shit which is served them, it is a shame that these truth leaders don't just come out and be honest. But that's a really childish thing to say, isn't it - as we are now adults most of us here, we know that it's not a world which is fair. I can't help chuckling at the thought of some covert task force without violence nabbing Icke, Watt, Tsarion, Maxwell, Jones and whoever else and getting them all together, photographing them, hypnotizing them, truth-serum-ing them, just getting them all to speak as their SELVES. And putting it on mainstream TV (no-one would know who they were). that would be funny. As I said, it does make you wonder what is really being hidden - again I chuckle at the concept that actually, nothing nefarious is hidden at all! Then I doublethink, in the opposite direction and see that it's obvious that something systemic is guiding this human journey in a specific direction Alan Watt gives us some of the picture but perhaps a very singular and dogmatic deconstruction - the question is, again as I previously iterated, is this result a natural process, the direction, the supposed outcome, the mechanism of conning the majority into a collective understanding of reality (this is indeed necessary for us to be able to communicate at all, this is the reason we can communicate on this weird organism the INTERNET as well). What I mean by natural process is a sophisticated reflection of that natural world to which we are clearly connected. Including the pyramid hierarchy and everything. Our structure of self-guidance and governance. Still, I can't help thinking that I wish it were guided by less ugly individuals!! And if it is INDEED anything like what good ol' Kealey describes, then ... well, frankly that's too much even for my imagination. Maybe that's the trick! I dunno. perhaps someday we'll find out - until then, we gotta keep our wits about us cos there's cunning people afoot with technology and information dissemination at their disposal. Of course any chance of us banding together is fairly remote anyway - impossible if we keep listening to people like Watt and Jones. The only theory I've been able to come up with is if we all - like ALL of us on the planet just STOP. Period. just stop doing anything even for just a day. This would take some enormous mind-control operation though, and reminds me a little too much of those hundreds of propaganda movies like THE HAPPENING and 28 DAYS and APPLESEED and other kind of stuff. They are given to us to further create a fear of the destruction of CIVILISATION so that there is no chance of ANY of us, including myself, being able to behave in the manner which I described above. But hey, I can keep on dreaming, and when enough people come to the same conclusion something will happen - and it won't be a crap scaremongering M. Knight Shaylayalamalamayalm movie.
