Israeli air strikes kill 225 wound hundreds
Bloody Israel is at it again! The bloodthirsty zionist pigs have once again unleashed their ruthless bullshit on the Palestinian people once again. Honestly how much more of this shit are people going to take?

* Israel launches air attacks on Gaza
* At least 225 killed
* Both sides say they could expand assaults
Israeli warplanes and helicopters have pounded the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip, killing at least 225 people in one of the bloodiest days for the Palestinians in 60 years of conflict with the Jewish state.
Militants in the Gaza Strip, who have launched dozens of rocket attacks against Israel since a six-month old truce expired just over a week ago, fired more salvoes that killed one Israeli man and wounded several others.
The assault could reduce stalled talks over Palestinian statehood to tatters.
Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said the operation may "take time".
A senior Israeli military source said the air strikes marked the "opening stage" of a campaign that could be expanded to include ground forces now surrounding Gaza.
"We should be prepared for an ongoing operation that may last for a long time," the source said. "We don't have time limits for that and we are determined to go all the way if needed with all of our options, air, ground, whatever."
Black smoke billowed over Gaza City, where the dead and wounded lay scattered on the ground after Israel bombed more than 40 security compounds, including two where Hamas was hosting graduation ceremonies for new recruits.
At the main Gaza City graduation ceremony, uniformed bodies lay in a pile and the wounded writhed in pain. Some rescue workers beat their heads and shouted "God is greatest". One badly wounded man quietly recited verses from the Koran.
More than 700 Palestinians were wounded in all, medics said.
Israel said the operation, dubbed "Solid Lead", targeted "terrorist infrastructure" following days of rocket attacks on southern Israel that caused damage but few injuries. Israeli army officials said Hamas leaders could be targeted.
"There is a time for calm and a time for fighting, and now the time has come to fight," Defence Minister Ehud Barak said.
Israeli political leaders are under pressure to stop the rocket attacks as a February 10 election approaches.
Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni, a leading candidate to become Israel's next prime minister, called for international support against "an extremist Islamist organisation ... that is being supported by Iran", Israel's arch-foe.
Israel instructed hundreds of thousands of Israelis living up to 30 km (19 miles) from the Gaza border to remain in "safe areas" indoors in anticipation of retaliatory rocket fire.
Reaction
Backing Israel, the administration of U.S. President George W. Bush, in its final weeks in office, appeared to put the onus on Hamas to prevent a further escalation.
"The United States strongly condemns the repeated rocket and mortar attacks against Israel and holds Hamas responsible for breaking the cease-fire and for the renewal of violence in Gaza,"
U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said in a statement. "The cease-fire should be restored immediately."
The United Nations and the European Union, in contrast, simply called for an immediate halt to all violence.
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said the Israeli air campaign was "criminal" and urged world powers to intervene.
Egypt said it would keep trying to restore the truce.
Hamas threatened to unleash "hell" to avenge the dead, including possible suicide bombings inside Israel.
"We will not leave our land, we will not raise white flags and we will not kneel except before God," said Ismail Haniyeh, leader of Hamas's Government in the Gaza Strip.
Hamas estimated that at least 100 members of its security forces had been killed, including police chief Tawfiq Jabber and the head of Hamas's security and protection unit, along with at least 15 women and some children.
Morgues across the Gaza Strip ran out of space for bodies.
The Islamist group, which won a 2006 parliamentary election but was shunned by Western powers over its refusal to renounce violence and recognise Israel, said all of its security compounds in the Gaza Strip were destroyed or seriously damaged.
Aid groups said they feared the Israeli operation could fuel a humanitarian crisis in the impoverished coastal enclave, home to 1.5 million Palestinians, half of them dependent on food aid.
Gaza hospitals said they were running out of medical supplies because of the Israeli-led blockade, increasing the chances that the death toll will rise.
Palestinians staged protest rallies in Arab East Jerusalem, and in the West Bank cities of Ramallah and Hebron, leading to scuffles with Israeli forces.
Israeli analyst Ron Ben-Yishai said the strike was "shock treatment ... aimed at securing a long-term ceasefire between Hamas and Israel on terms that are favourable to Israel".
Among the buildings destroyed in the Israeli bombardment was Gaza's presidential compound, which Hamas seized in June 2007 from Abbas's secular Fatah forces after a brief civil war.
Witnesses also reported heavy Israeli bombing along Gaza's border with Egypt. Palestinians use hundreds of tunnels under the border to bring in everything from goods to weapons.
A five-day Israeli offensive in March killed more than 120 people, but Saturday's death toll was the highest for a single day in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict since 1948, when the Jewish state was established.
Mr Olmert, who will leave office after the February election, has repeatedly said Israel does not want to reoccupy Gaza, from which it withdrew ground forces and settlers in 2005.

Israeli Vessel Hits Gaza-Bound Aid Boat
Quote:
An Israel patrol vessel collides with a boat on an aid mission to Gaza. CNN's Karl Penhaul is aboard.
An Israeli naval vessel has hit a small boat carrying activists trying to break the blockade of the Gaza Strip.
The Dignity was reportedly taking on water as it limped towards Lebanon on Tuesday.
The Free Gaza Movement, which organised the attempt to reach the territory with more than three tonnes of medical aid, said their boat was "rammed" and shots were fired.
The group said the Dignity was in international waters about 115km off the coast of Gaza when the incident occurred late on Monday.
Yigal Palmor, a spokesman for Israel's foreign ministry, denied there had been any shooting but said that the ships had made "physical contact".
He said that the crew of the Dignity had failed to respond to Israeli naval radio contact.
Elize Ernshire, one of the activists onboard the boat, told Al Jazeera by telephone that the boat was rammed twice from the front and then once from the side.
"It has destroyed the front of the boat and the roof ... and has left the cabin, the wheelhouse quite destroyed," she said.
" We are heading towards Lebanon as the boat is not in a fit state to return to Larnaca [Cyprus] and we were threatened directly by the Israeli navy that if we continued on our course towards Gaza they would attack us again."
Several small boats have arrived in the Gaza Strip carrying international activists and medical aid since August in defiance of the Israeli siege.
Ernshire said that the incident would not stop the movement trying again to take aid to the impoverished territory.
"The majority of passenger here are determined, once we reach Lebanon, to keep continuing to organise such boats as these, to reach the people of Gaza," she said.
Gaza health system is struggling to cope with the casualties from four consecutive days of aerial bombardment by Israeli warplanes and helicopter gunships.
Hospitals were already facing shortages of medicines and other medical products due to the Israeli siege imposed after the Hamas government seized full control of the territory in 2007.
As well as more than three tonnes of aid, the Dignity was carrying three doctors to help treat the more than 1,400 wounded in recent days.
An Israeli military spokeswoman, said the medical supplies on the boat would not have made much impact on the humanitarian situation.
Bandage 'em up so they can be attacked again? How about taking care of the real problem?

Israel intentionally shooting children!
Man I am so pissed off with these zionist murdering pigs right now, wish someone would formally introduce the IDF to the business end of a 30mm minigun!
If anyone needs proof that the world's media is run by zionists then the massacre in Gaza is proof of that. We only hear about the pissy rockets from Hamas, but what of the tanks, self propelled artillery, F14's, F16's, Multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), Apache gunships, naval gunboats and advanced infantry weapons of the IDF?
The palestinians don't have an army, navy or airforce, this is NOT A WAR it's an EXTERMINATION.
This video shows the loving treatment the IDF dishes out to Palestinian children, They want to terrify these people as much as possible!
If these bastards had actually experienced what they preach during WW2 then why would they inflict this type of suffering upon others?
IDF soldiers target children
hey guys, please spread this video around...cheers
Sorry bout' the rant i'm just furious at the moment.
