Introduction
The Old Testament teaches that Astrologist's should be put to death. Matt 5:17 tells us that Jesus did not come to destroy the law. Judaism and Christianity have in the past tried to wipe out Astrology and the mystery schools because people could see where they derived some of their prophecy, stories, and knowledge from. This wiping out didn't stop with Astrologist's, but any followers of other deities.
All religions throughout history were used as tools of mind control. Christianity produces obedient and productive slaves for society. The Native Americans and the victims of the Black Slave Trade were subjected to Christianity (Native children were stripped from their families for schooling). Christianity teaches that Israelites are God's chosen people. People under this mind controlling religion have an irrational reverence for them. Forcing Christianity on a conquered nation not only made willing slaves: it also ensured that they wouldn't lash back.
