Allergies
Overview:
Diseases have causes. When we identify the cause, the cure often becomes obvious. We play chemistry with our bodies.
A school desk caught on fire when exposed to a chemical. The desk had been exposed to another chemical in the past that reacted with the new chemical. Was the desk allergic to the new chemical?
When I had been taking too many supplements and overloaded by body with silicon dioxide, my stomach became sensitive to soy. -REFERENCE. My skin became sensitive to sunlight and I broke out in rashes, but when I eliminated soy from my diet; I no longer had the problem. Silicon and Soy are used in many processed foods.
Sometimes other Food Additives can cause such reactions or symptoms of disease. Sometimes our bodies can react to substances that are tied to bad memories and it's a matter of psychological therapy.
There are some treatments and contributors listed below. One may work for one person and not another, we're not trying to sell you a pill so don't complain !
A chemical found in Teflon non-stick coatings could raise the risk of allergies, researchers have said.
The scientists claim the product may prime the immune system to overreact to allergy triggers, or allergens, such as dust mites or animal hair.
Lab mice given the chemical - perfluoro-octanoic acid - before being exposed to an allergen suffered more trouble breathing than those exposed to the allergen alone.
Local Honey:
Many people use and recommend ingesting a bit of local honey daily to stave off reactions to pollen and other air born irritants.
Cautions! on Using Local Honey for Allergy Therapy
Some time ago I wrote several widely read articles on using locally produced honey for immunotherapy, as an inexpensive (and often effective) way to stop or lessen the symptoms of pollen allergy. However, at this time I feel the need to add a strong caution to my earlier advice on local honey allergy therapy.
I have, since the writing of that article, encountered a number of people who have had allergic reactions, occasionally severe, while they were trying to treat themselves with local honey.
Organic Apple Cider Vinegar:
Used by some to treat allergies to pollen, dander, dust. 2 tablespoons (1/8th cup) added to 4 oz of water up not exceeding 3 times a day. Back off if you get heartburn from it.
Gluten:
Mostly found in wheat, rye, and barley. It allows the chewiness of breads like bagels or pizza dough. It is part of the mucus causing foods that should be avoided by all which includes rice. -Mucus Free Diet
Milk:
Milk is also a cause of mucus. There are many diseases linked to dairy products, some of them being specifically homogenized or pasteurized milk. Here's a recipe for nut milk: http://www.opposingdigits.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=878 (you can also often use coconut milk in it's place).
Leaky Gut Syndrome:
Partially digested food particles, bacteria and toxins can be absorbed and enter our blood stream with LGS. Our immune response will target these foreign irritants. Leaky Gut Syndrome
Water Therapy:
Tap water typically tastes bad, and we're given soft drinks with diuretics and sodium benzoate as an alternative. We typically do not drink enough water as a result, but yet can die from too much water. Water helps flush and dilute excesses, and toxins. You should wait until about half an hour after a meal to drink water. Diuretics cause dehydration, while sodium benzoate or benzoic acid is one of the main food additives you should avoid.
Homeopathy:
Homeopathy works by exposing the subject to an extremely small amount of the allergen. There's much potential for scams in homeopathy, but I believe there are some things that can be alleviated or cured by it. Consider this article from WebMD:
One is allergy shots containing small doses of the male partner's semen.
Enzymes and Minerals:
Eating fruit like melon or pineapple after a meal can help with digestion breaking down proteins. Citrus fruits are known to contain natural anti-histamines.
The acidic stage of the allergic reactions can be controlled effectively with Magnesium (Citrate). This is also used in treating asthma which has strong bonding with allergies. Calcium (Citrate) which balances the acid and the alkaline levels in our body is good in curing allergies. Calcium also reduces the production of histamine in our body.
Calcium is an over-rated mineral simply because it's most abundant and easy to produce and market. Minerals should come in a balanced natural form like they do in food. Supplemental Vitamin D can lead to over-calcification which is not something you want to experience.
Nickel:
Stainless steel contains nickel, chromium, molybdenum, and iron. Jewelry and metal surgical implants can also contain and leech nickel. Stainless steel that is not attracted by a magnet contains higher amounts of nickel.
Like Aluminum, Nickel has increased in the human environment over the past few decades, getting in to our bodies via industrial pollution and stainless steel cookware. Nickel has until recent times not been considered a serious toxin, however it is one of the many pollutants known to cause allergies. Margarines, even some so called healthy options have traces as it is used as a catalyst in the production process.
Because the histamines in nettle limit the body’s response to pollen and other irritating substances, nettle was also a favored treatment for ]asthma and allergies. The astringent or constricting quality of the roots and leaves led to its use to stop diarrhea, dysentery, and bleeding.
