Yeah, I am getting system doctor prompts when I go to the home page. I thought that it may have been on my pc already, but it only shows up when I vist this site. It has happened three times. I have scanned my computer for malware with three different programs, and nothing is detected. So I am pretty sure there is something wrong with this site. Please respond.

I removed some ad code. Please let me know if it's still showing up or shows up on other pages.
I am getting this when using the forums (both browsing and replying so far). It tends to throw away your post, but sometimes you can salvage it. I have started to copying my text into notepad periodically to prevent this. I was waiting to make sure that it was coming from Opposing Digits, and now I can confirm it.
This is what happens:
1. The Opposing Digits window is hijacked and becomes minimized.
2. A pop up dialog box appears:
"NOTICE! Your computer has tracks of all adult sites you had visited. [Blah blah blah, tries to convince you that you have spyware on your PC.]
Would you like to install DriveCleaner to check your computer for free? (Recommended)
[OK] [Cancel]"
3. Hitting cancel brings you to their page anyway.
4. Using the browser history, you can try to navigate back to where you were, but not always successfully.
5. If you do manage to get back, your post text entries are gone.

So much for trying to use other ad companies. This should have been already resolved on the homepage?
I disabled adbrite on the forum. Sorry, but I'm not blocking ads, and not blocking scripts here, and don't get the same problem (but I am running Linux/ Firefox), so it's difficult for me to notice the problem.

In windows it's safer to close these dialog boxes with Alt+F4 while they're on top.
Thank you for bearing with us, and please let me know if it persists or there are other critical issues. Sorry for any inconvenience!

AdBrite Having Problems
Digg This
April 11th, 2007 by Chris
One of the perpetual risks you will run into when using smaller ad networks is that they are more prone to infiltration by spyware/trojan/virus drive-by-download advertisers. You may think this has to do with their lack of ability to filter such crap out. In reality though I think it has to do with their willingness to moreso look the other way, if they had people manually approving ads and working with advertisers this wouldn’t happen.
On my one site that uses Adbrite I’ve had numerous people, mostly UK residents, end up with these problems, although I myself had my anti-virus filter triggered once. This has been going on for weeks.
I’ve gotten one response from them about it:
We apologize for the ongoing perpetuation of unauthorized advertisements, such as drivecleaner.com, systemdoctor.com, or errorsafe.com in our network. We would like to notify you that in order to achieve a thorough and lasting resolution to this issue we have tightened restrictions around the submission of ad copy, begun scanning all advertisements for potential abuse, and forged partnerships with established anti-spyware and internet security companies to ensure detection and removal of these ads. Locating offending advertisers unfortunately continues to pose several difficulties. To that extent, if you are still experiencing problems with any advertisements that you believe to be abusing our network, we would appreciate any information you could provide about these ads, particularly the following:
But that was last week and this week its worse than ever.
If you use Adbrite check your site out, and you might want to suspend the ad serving until they get this fixed.
