Quote:
Stop Prisoner Rape seeks to end sexual violence committed against men, women, and youth in all forms of detention.

"The horrors experienced by many young inmates, particularly those who are convicted of nonviolent offenses, border on the unimaginable. Prison rape not only threatens the lives of those who fall prey to their aggressors, but it is potentially devastating to the human spirit. Shame, depression, and a shattering loss of self-esteem accompany the perpetual terror the victim thereafter must endure."

-This is just one of the many horrors and injustices people face in prison. Many innocent and undeserving people are sent to jail/ prison. Should they be raped, fed poison, and denied healthy lifestyles? Do correctional facilities really "correct"?

Correctional facilities are much like gulags. Prisoners work for nothing, are beaten by police, are treated worse than stray dogs, are refused medical treatment and risk being sodomized against their will. People are generally not concerned with this unethical and inhumane treatment because they feel that prisoners should "die and burn in hell" Rolling Eyes Concerning prison rape, It happens a lot and the guards watch and laugh. Why is it I see people lobbying for action to be taken against prison rape and not the rapists that run loose in our cities?

they do refuse medical... my mom almost died in jail...

as far as the rape... sometimes the guards will open a cell so inmates can go in and rape a person....

its my understanding that more then half go in for drug related incidents... most of which are marajuana based...

if thats the case technically they are innocent... more then 75% of the laws the us has are unjust and unconstitunional =\
