3d modelling and graphics tutorials
For anyone wishing computer graphics. With 3D modelling using either 3D studio MAX, MAYA, Cinema4D, Truespace or the excellent freeware modeller Blender here are some sites that offer top notch tutorials from the basics right upto to character creation and rigging.

Thanks for that mate. I used HDRI in my latest image (at my gallery - link in my signature) to get all the snazzy highlights in the chrome on the jukebox and the tabletop. The whole scene was rendered in 45 minutes.

Wow, I haven't done anything decent like that from scratch. The new header sides are from the ubuntu ultimate default wallpaper, and the logo I simply made from an image that wasn't round. Kudos, and thanks!
2.61 is the latest indie version and it's free. No real-time shadows support in the indie version. Therefore you'll have to bake your own shadows in your preferred software before exporting them into the indie. Unity supports a lot of software.
Anyways, you can go to the Unity tutorials page with resources on the left to help you. You can also play around with the default tutorial project scene in the indie version as well. It's called Tropical Paradise and a preview scene is available in this page (you'll need the Unity Web Player to preview it)
