Research started by pauling and continued by dr Rath. Now before MadThumbs starts saying Vitamins are poison, I would say try to get the required levels via diet.

i think madthumbs was mostly pointing out at the thing that vitamines in pills are not good.

plus you can also get overdosed by vitamines from food as well - for example from pomegranate fruit juice (very healthy btw, but too rich).


As to Linus Pauling - it will be useful to look more at his work - he was a great man.

Just skimmed the first pdf. I know vitamin C is recommended, but synthetic Vitamin C I've read could lead to heart disease. One thing many people ignore is how natural vitamin E thins blood and is naturally present in NON-Pasteurized vegetable / nut oils. Much of the oils we consume are also garbage oils like soy, or canola (rape).

Hydrogenated oils are also suspected of causing heart disease. The theory is that an acid by-product of hydrogenation leads to it.

Could this be summed up by telling people to simply eat more RAW nuts, oils, and fruit?

I eat lots of popcorn, and have found that raw olive oil, hemp oil, or flax seed oil works better than butter for flavor (adding also a healthy dose of real salt)!



-People may think it's expensive, but a little bit of it lasts a long time and it's not really that expensive. (I think ~$3 for a shaker that lasts me about 6-10 months)
