Look I don't mean to take sides on who is suffering the most etc ... and I don't mean
to get religious, but what do you guys make of these verses from your old testament,
for those of you that are Christian.
Deuteronomy 26:1 - 29:8
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Chapter 28
1 Now, if you obey the Lord your God, to observe faithfully all His commandments which I enjoin upon you this day, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
13 The Lord will make you the head, not the tail; you will always be at the top and never at the bottom — if only you obey and faithfully observe the commandments of the Lord your God that I enjoin upon you this day, 14 and do not deviate to the right or to the left from any of the commandments that I enjoin upon you this day and turn to the worship of other gods.
This is what I heard ... yeah well ... we could solve the problem ourselves
but blaming the Jews is easier and relieves us of our collective responsibility.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What problem? There was no problem until you created it!
What responsibility? Why does the rest of the Arab world have a responsibility to the Palestinians? Because you stole their land?
Absolutely no compassion for their fellow man and the Jews get blamed !
Do you see why the Jews are the chosen ?
We light up the darkness in the minds of all humanity.
You're insinuating that the Jews were blamed, but should receive none of such blame.
You forgot the "Holohoax", which directly resulted in the, "aww, here you go, Euro-Jews" act of 1948, which is the reason the world is in this mess in the first place.
So, you want to suggest the Jews have no part in this? You want to claim they're innocent?

blu I already handled you regarding your own "OT" don't start quoting them again if you don't want to look at all the context of it and just focus on the "good" parts for yourself. 8)
blu - your OT quotes of God's promises are conditional on the Israelites being faithful to the covenant, which of course they weren't eg the Golden Calf worship, the murder of God's prophets and last but not least the murder of the Messiah resulting in their final expulsion from the Promised Land in AD70 and final rejection as God's chosen.
Jewish bigots claim that they were chosen by God's special people they were alone were the only peoples of the earth to accept the Torah and because of this they merited God's favour as being the Chosen People for all time. None of this is in the Old Testament.
This is not how God works - God prefers to pick the most insignificant human beings for tasks so that everyone can see that the task was accomplished due because of the power of God and not to the merit of any human being. As God had decided to redeem mankind by coming Incarnate he had to choose a woman to be his mother and this mother herself had to have hadca family and this family had to belong to a tribe. This tribe needed to be prepared for the Incarnation by being given a partial revelation of God's message and God's laws. They also needed to be kept separate from other tribes not because they were superior but because their weakness and attraction to idolatory and sexual immorality was so great that the less they mixed the less temptation they would have to sin. So God gave them the enclave of territory which we know as the Holy Land to keep them separate until the coming of the Messiah but also this territory was in a central spot so that the teachings of the Messiah could be spread throughout the world.
Ezekiel 16:2-14 gives details of God choosing the Israelites and God's choice was not because of any merit on the part of the Israelites. On the contrary it says 'for you were abhorred, on the day that you were born' but idue to the actions of God 'You grew exceedingly beautiful, and came to regal estate. And your renown went forth among the nations because of your beauty, for it was perfect through the splendor which I had bestowed upon you, says the Lord God'.
The choice of the Israelites was also fulfilling the promise given to the Patriarch Abraham for his faithfulness 'and by your descendants shall all the nations of the earth be blessed, because you have obeyed my voice. This great blessing was Jesus Christ who fulfilled God's promise to Adam the physical father of the whole human race that He 'would raise up a woman and her seed to crush the serpent.'
Although it was was part of God's original plan to keep the Israelites separate, the need for separation ended with the coming of Jesus. Unfortunately, most of the Israelites succumbed to arrogance and pride and misinterpreted the Old Testament to read that God would send a great king who would kill all of the Israelites enemies and make them rulers of the world for all time.
If you read the Old Testament, God is making a series of covenants (a covenant is a sort of oath which makes part of God's family) starting with Adam and Eve a married couple, extended to a household Noah and his sons families, and then to a tribal chief Abraham his family and his 300 odd retainers, and then to nation Israel and finally the under the New Covenant instituted by Jesus to every person in the world.
Where modern Judaism has gone wrong is that it is forever stuck in the Mosaic Covenant which was meant to be temporary. Worse, over the centuries their false interpretation of the Old Testament has been codified in the Talmud. They also have developed a Jewish mysticism contained in the Kabbalah which incorporates a lot of occult beliefs picked up from Babylonian mystery religions which are in conflict to the Old Testament. Modern day rabbinic Judaism is not the Old Testament religion practised by Moses.
Christianity is post Messiah Judaism and Rabbinic Judaism is a racist and materialist false interpretation of pre-Messiah Judaism.
Christianity is not a front for rabbinic Judaism because in Christianity, there is no distinction between Hebrew Christians and Gentile Christians and distinctive Hebrew religious customs such as circumcision were dropped very early on as recorded in the New Testament. Until the Protestant revolt, the Pope was in charge of all Christianity and governed itself. There were no Jews puppet masters behind the Pope. When the Catholic Church was ruling over the known world, rabbinic Jews allowed to live in their own communities and have their synagogues but there was strict control of their activities and laws against usury. There would have been no controls or expulsion if the Catholic Church was a zionist front.
I admit that the Jews have in modern times been very successful in infiltrating Christianity - this was always part of the plan outlined in the Protocols.

Genesis 17:7 7 And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.
Christians generally believe that the murder of their messiah was prophecied. I believe Jews don't believe in Jesus as the Messiah because verses were added to the Torah to make the prophecies of him in the OT.

Christians don't fall prey to arrogance and pride?

What is meant by "everlasting covenant"?

Jesus was racist.. we've established this in another thread, and you already conveyed your belief that he is the blatantly racist God of the OT incarnate.

According to Paul; not Jesus.

What definition of Christianity are we using? If people believe in Jesus; why are they putting their faith in man-made institutions which were shown to fail even in God's presence? Why do they heed Paul's words instead of Jesus'?
